it's th seasons lar... tsk.

HOHO

that was taken on one faithful afternoon shift when i was sending for a patient to "pang sai", she was taking half th afternoon so i decided to snap snap for a mo. (:

well im here to blog about praises. now, how often do you get praised? OKAY, snap shot: RARELY for me. but ever since ive been attached to th nursing workforce as a student nurse, ive met all sorts of patients/visitors.

those who are really nice, helpful & kind. & those who are really demanding with their constant & really irritating questions of th condition of th patient. i mean, HOW MUCH CHANGE can there be in a chronic patient in ONE pathetic day?

these kind of people DO get on my nerves sometimes & all i can do is curse & swear, & feel like strangling them in my heart but smile & tell them it's okay, they're fine, not much of a change since yesterday & keep on smiling on th outside like im one Deity, all nice & mighty loving.

PFFT.

so anyways, back to my point about being praised. im not bragging here but ive been pretty much th attention of young male patients in th first & second posting. well, im not saying im all outstanding & everything, but at EVERY posting, i never failed to get disturbed at, & at th same time being asked to give/exchange numbers.

MAN, MY PATIENTS?

#1: Ward 44, aged 23 years old, malay army boy. (haha) kinda plump in size, & not so good looking.

he DIDNT ask for my number, but from my friend instead. when one of them didnt give, he tried his luck to ask for ANOTHER friend of mine, for my number. she then, unrealisingly thought it was harmless so she gave. patient then started calling/sms-ing me asking ME to call him that night. my reaction: WHAAAAT?

#2: Ward 47, aged 23 years old, normal guy, working at a drinks stall, indian-malay guy. (heh) quite cute & very dark.

well he didnt ask for my number, TOO. but th way he wanted to get to know me more than just a student nurse nursing for him, started off by this medisave form. he was taking forever to fill it, using my pen. thing is, i needed that pen. so when i asked him for th third time for my pen, he finally gave me this piece of paper (it was actually a packet sugar, a used one though) with his number on it. he told me to call it. whereas i, on th other hand, didnt get his point.

i merely said, "huh? what number is that? medisave ah? i want to call for what?" then he tsk-ed & said, "alamak this girl dont understand lah.." so he PAISEH-ly had to explain that he wants to get to know me better & that if i was willing, i could contact him throu that number he gave. so i was like, OHH.. nevermind lah eh. *smiled* & walked away..
my reaction: OKAY, AT LEAST HE WAS GENTLEMAN ENOUGH.

#3: Ward 48 (current ward). patient's GRANDSON. -sorry i didnt really see his face but he PLUCK HIS EYEBROW, eeks!- around 20-24years old malay dude.

& AGAIN, he didnt ask for my number but his AUNT asked me on his behalf. (like, how coward can he GET?) here's a little convo me & his aunt had in th midst of changing th patient itself:

aunt: what shift are you working tomorrow?
me: oh, im on afternoon shift.
aunt: i see.. hmm, by th way, there's someone interested in you, do you mind if he wants to have your number?
me: HUH?! (shocked giler babs but i held & act cool) ohh, haha.. number? cannot la..
aunt: ahh.. you already have someone, aye?
me: oh. someone? oh yes, hahah, yea..
aunt: *shouts to th nephew -totally revealing his identity of "someone" she used to talk to me- across her* EH FAZLEE, SHE'S ATTACHED LA. SHE HAS SOMEONE ALREADY. HER PARENT'S ONE LA..
me: (parents? ...okeh la aunty, anyth goes.) heh.

so there, three cases of 'number asking' only one is successful (invasively) & other two nicely rejected. one brave enough to ask me himself, another one use aunty. LIKE, TSK, you no balls ah? im not asking you to come forth & ask me with all your manly might, but asking your aunty to ask for my number on your behalf is already one BIG turn-off, dude. SORRY.

so see, i didnt know that FEMALE WARD also can get this kind of thing. well yes, it IS kinda flattering to be asked for your number & sorts. i mean, to know that you're kinda noticed & everything right? but this.. alamaks. macam-macam lah..

anyhoots, another case of over-praising. it gets irritating sometimes how one can over-praise you. yes, people calls you pretty, you blush & sheepishly push your Dynamap to another cubicle, screen th curtains & SMILE AS WIDE AS YOU CAN. but when you do it TOOOO often, i'll get tired of blushing, sheepishly walking out of th cubicle, screening th curtain & then SMILE AS WIDELY AS I CAN, you know.

in th end, i end up "heh"-ing at th remark & sardinely push th Dynamap to another cubicle & just continue my work with one thick fat layer of skin after all th praisings.

again i emphasise that it is nice to be praised & called pretty with nice this & nice that & everything, but sigh- i get your point, i feel flattered & that's all i want to feel. are you going to praise me til my cheeck muscle turn spastic & my jaw loosen which will eventually drop out of my mouth from all th blushing & smiling so wide?

but nevertheless, TO THOSE PEOPLE WHO PRAISED ME, whether about having nice complexion, nice smile, nice nose, nice fat thighs, nice ba-ba body, nice eyes, smiling eyes, & what-have-yous, THANK YOU SO MUCH OKEH. I SO PAISEH ALREADY. no need make me feel as thou those praises mean nothing already.

HAHA. im so fucking mean, please & go away.

anyways, here are some pictures i want to pose FOR FUN & to not make this entry text-only post. (:
